Spa breaks for 2 London
K West Hotel & Spa, Richmond Way, London, W14 0AX
Spa & Leisure
The subterranean spa at K West is characterised by the streamlined incorporation of wooden floors and glass divides. Facilities are geared towards relaxation and rejuvenation rather than intense exercise although there is a gym in a separate part of the hotel. Robes are provided, and in the main spa area there is a hydrotherapy pool, sauna, sanarium, steam room, foot spa and little booths down the side of the room that allow you to relax in semi-privacy. There is a relaxation room complete with headsets should you wish to shut out any of the surrounding silence as well as a sleep inducing Sun Meadow room. Of course, no spa is complete without its treatments, so there is a long list of reassuringly unpronounceable holistic massages, facials, rituals and finishing touches … what these people don’t know about treatments is not worth knowing.
Hotel & Accommodation
Modern design prevails throughout the hotel in various earth tones and shades of white with the ultra-chic atmosphere only tempered by the infectious smiles of members of staff from the moment you walk through the door. Discretion is clearly one of the hotel’s many assets, which will explain why it is a favourite in the world of celebrity.
The first thing you see upon entering the hotel is the K Lounge which offers light bites, teas and coffees in the day and a decorative fireplace running the length of the wall that also makes it a particularly nice place for an aperitif in the evening when DJs set the scene. For something a little more substantial on the food front there is also the Kanteen overseen by Chef Eduart Berisha, who provides an intriguing fusion menu that’s also casual enough to enjoy without pomp and circumstance.
